Privacy Policy

This policy describes what OptionScope (optionscope.ai) collects and why. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run accounts and billing, our product analytics are first-party and anonymous, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

What we collect

Account data. When you create an account we store your email address, name, and a salted cryptographic hash of your password (we never store the password itself). If you subscribe to Pro, our payment processor Stripe handles your card — we never see or store card numbers; we store only your Stripe customer/subscription identifiers and subscription status.

Product analytics. We run first-party, privacy-preserving analytics: anonymous events (page view, share, checkout started) tied to a random identifier stored in your browser — not to your name, email, IP address, or account. We record only the referring site's hostname, never full URLs. We use no third-party analytics, no advertising trackers, and no cross-site cookies.

Operational logs. Server logs record request paths, status codes, and error messages for reliability and abuse prevention. They are not used for profiling.

Cookies

We use one strictly-necessary cookie: your login session (HttpOnly, secure). No tracking or advertising cookies.

How we use data

To operate your account and subscription, sync your watchlist and plan across devices, understand aggregate product usage, and keep the Service secure. We may email you about your account or billing. If we later add product emails, they will include one-click unsubscribe.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers required to run OptionScope: Stripe (payments) and Cloudflare (hosting and database). We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose data if legally required.

Retention and deletion

Account data is kept while your account exists. To delete your account and its data, email [email protected] from the account's address; we will delete it within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or accounting purposes (e.g., Stripe invoices).

Your rights

You may request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it at any time via the email above. Depending on where you live (e.g., EEA/UK, California), you may have additional statutory rights, which we honor.
